The Christian-Muslim Dialogue Society exists to create a space in which Christians and Muslims can meet together to discuss matters of faith, belief, and practice, in a respectful environment. The gatherings are open to all.
We want to encourage friendship to grow up between Muslims and Christians in such a way that we will be able to discuss even our differences with understanding.
We hold Meetings for Better Understanding, in which a Muslim and Christian speaker are invited to speak on a given topic from the perspective of their faith tradition, followed by a time for questions.
This year, we will also be meeting in a variety of other forums: we will have times for sharing our stories of faith with one another, and times for informal dialogue on a set theme, taking for example, a figure common to both religions and basing our discussion on that.
We hope you will join us to learn more about Islam and Christianity. The group is open to all, so feel free to come along if you have no personal allegiance to either faith – we would love to meet you.
